Deeds & Words

As with many arts organisations, What More? Productions is looking at how best to address equality and diversity among the artists it works with, and to show a commitment to these in both deeds and words.

Any mission statement will always be a work in progress, but we aim for each project to be underpinned by an etiquette of mutual respect and support, open and responsible communication, inclusivity and above all, generosity of spirit. A healthy dose of laughter and good humour and a practical and fearless approach to theatre-making ensures the process is as rewarding as the production.

What More? Productions commits to the following:

  • To promote the local: We aim to support wherever possible independent local businesses and use these as our suppliers in preference to large international corporations and brands. Amazon is not an option.

  • To keep waste to a minimum, both in materials used, transportation and people’s time. To make the most of the resources we have available. Resourcefulness is a creative act.

  • Fair pay for a fair day’s work: What More? Productions commits to paying its creative team at ITC rates. https://www.itc-arts.org/rates-of-pay

  • What More? Productions commits to paying swiftly on receipt of an invoice as agreed in its contracts.
